I am a former VP & General Counsel for several technology and manufacturing businesses, M&A and corporate attorney with a national law firm, management consultant with a national consulting firm and combat officer in the US Army. Simply put, this unique combination of skills and backgrounds positions me well to help business solve problems arising at the intersection between leadership, decision-making, compliance, culture and performance. Thus, GarryOwen Ventures is my effort to converge traditional legal, business and management consulting services with operational perspectives and practical solutions. As an attorney, my legal background is in M&A and corporate transactions and my practice has always focused on creating win-win deals and solving problems to help enable business. Simply put, with me you have a combat soldier’s passion for team play and combine that with the functional expertise gained from board rooms and deal tables and mix in the leadership skills and strategic vision built upon throughout a career and you get a very unique perspective — a lawyer who is not like any other and a business person with some extra unique capabilities.
GarryOwen Ventures is not intended to be like any other law or management consulting firm. If you are looking for a standard law firm, typical corporate lawyer or traditional management consultant, you should probably keep looking. But, if you are looking for something different – somebody skilled and expert as a lawyer but practical and task oriented as a businessperson, GarryOwen Ventures may be the right solution for you.
